Not sure this will be of any use but I came upon this item at the New Brunswick Museum in Saint John while looking for items relating to my White ancestors (Ada Ann White d/o Samuel Marquis White s/o Samuel White): George Jarvis Dibblee fonds Location / Location S 169 F 106(2) Series or Sub-Series / Séries ou Sous-Séries Series - Legal Sub-series - Civil Cases Scope and Content / Portée et Contenu This file foloder consists of documents concerning the estate of the Jonathan Payson and other individuals Inventory / Inventaire F106(2) - Jonathan Payson Items / Pièces 10. William White and Henry White Jr., 1826 (4 items) There is also a Peter White that I found in the 1851 census who was 25 at that time; therefore born in 1826. He was a lodger in the home of George Wallace in Kings County. You can find that at: http://automatedgenealogy.com/censusnb51/View.jsp?id=4830&highlight=7&desc=1 851+Census+of+New+Brunswick+page+containing+Peter+White There is a 20-year-old William White who is living with a Paul McDonald and his family (presumably as a lodger) and he is listed as a `lumberman`. This was in the census for St.Martins Parish and can be found at: http://automatedgenealogy.com/censusnb51/SplitView.jsp?id=7703 I have `The History of the White Family` by James W. White but this is the story of the Loyalists Whites so I gather is of no interest to you. And I did look for an Agnes (Cochrane) White (there were plenty of Peter`s and William`s) but she was not listed. That`s about all I can help you with. Good luck. I'm trying to find out the parents of a William White, this is what I know so far: *Born:* 1799 in England* * *Religion:* Church of England *Spouse: *Agnes Cochrane, 1800 - *Children:* William White, 17 Apr 1830 29 May 1914 Peter White, 1826 *Note:* settled at Quaco in Saint Martins Parish, Saint John County, Married Agnes about 1825 in New Brunswick I'm a direct descendant of Peter White. I've been to the archives in Fredericton as well as the archives in Ottawa but any White family info leads me back to the loyalists Whites. Thus far I've been unable to link William White to any of the loyalist White families. The most info I've been able to gather was an isolated entry on the familysearch.org website that lists William and Agnes but no other information in regards to their parents. I contacted the site but they were not able to disclose the identity of who provided the information. But it does lead me to believe that someone online may have more information and they may read this digest. Any help would be appreciated Thanks Gregory White ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List Announcements can be found at http://www.rootsweb.com/~nbcharlo/nblistann.htm ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to NEWBRUNSWICK-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
