Hello everyone, As many of you know may remember I have been working on a book on old schools and was wondering if anyone has personal memories or heard memories from their ancestors about school Fairs? If so I would be very interested to hear about them like where they were held, what type of livestock did they have, do you remember hearing about any particualar cooking dishes they talked about, maybe special knitting projects etc... Also, does anyone remember any prizes that wre given -- money or other prizes? Did they travel great distances to go to the closest school fairs .. did they grow the vegetables in their school gardens or their own gardens etc... Feel free to email me off the list at _bumbly73@aol.com_ (mailto:bumbly73@aol.com) if you don't want to post your reply to all in the group. I keep finding new topics for my books which may end up being several books when I finish all my research... and hope you all enjoy them. I also plan to add some more info on to my personal website _www.atlanticcanadahistory.com_ (http://www.atlanticcanadahistory.com/) schools section soon as well. i look forward in hearing back from anyone who has some info all info is welcome .... It's a bit scary that the availability of all that voluntary effort is dependent on a single person. We have had great difficulties with our Google (gmail) account, ( craigs.BR@gmail.com) and have decided to give it up COMPLETELY.We will keep it going for awhile, just in case someone misses this notice. The next one to go is our old email before we were on high speed. ( calbarb@nb.sympatico.ca) will not be used. We will keep it going for for a month or so just until we feel everyone is aware. *WE NOW WILL BE USING THESE TWO LISTED BELOW*:: The first, calbarb@xplornet.com will become our central email. (it is already up and running). We hope all GENEALOGY-HISTORY emails will filter that way, but it really doesn't matter if you use the next one. Personal emails are also welcome on this one as well. The second (also up and running) email we will be using is cbtraveling@live.com. You can use that one anytime. SO... instead of having four emails....we will be down to two, and we hope less confusing for everyone - most of all less confusing for us!! Cal & Barb @ Bonny River!!

This means a photo of a stone which also has the spouse's maiden name showing, is duplicated and when one searches using the onboard search engine, for a surname, the spouse's surname will be reported as a separate "search result". * 4. Over the past 11 years this website has been instrumental in breaking down many researchers' brick walls. In addition, many folks have travelled to cemeteries which are onboard, to personally and physically view the grave markers. Please note that on some cemeteries we have included the contact information for the township, town or village cemetery "record holders". * 5. If you don't see a Community and its' cemeteries online...it means we have not photographed the cemeteries in that area. Would you or some of your family or friends be interested in helping out by photographing your local cemeteries....? * * FEEDBACK ******* * We are always interested in feedback from Visitors to the website. Hi John, Brenan's Funeral Home records on the NB Archives website shows that a Noel F. Sheraton, aged 62, died 16 Jul 1945, Rockingham, Nova Scotia; buried Fernhill Cemetery, Saint John. You could call the cemetery to see who else is buried with him and you could also contact the Saint John Free Public Library and they will do an obituary search. If it's the same Noel Fairweather Sheraton who m. Elsie Marion Taylor, then his parents' deaths are also on Brenan's records. The birth records for Noel F. Sheraton & his children are all late birth registration records meaning that they were done long after their birth year. Phyllis's was dated 18 Jan 1928 Fredericton, by her mother, so Phyllis was still alive then. The digital image for James's record has not been uploaded but you can get a copy from the NB Archives - it would give further information. Hi List, Is anyone working on this family? Noel Fairweather Sheraton married Elsie Marion Taylor 11 Oct 1911 in Saint John Three children are listed in the New Brunswick Archives index of births Donald Paterson Sheraton born 3 Apr 1913, Saint John Phyllis Vieth Sheraton born 25 Apr 1914, Saint John James Paterson Sheraton born 29 Dec 1915, Saint John My question to the list is: I have a Donald Patterson Richards married to Doris Josephine Chamberlain in 1935 Donald’s parents are given as Edward S. Richards and Elsie Marion Taylor. I have 3 children of Donald and Doris one who has Sheraton in her name. Donald died in 1942. The War Graves Commission gives Donald birth date as 3 Apr 1913 I cannot find any info on Phyllis or James under Sheraton or Richards I cannot find any info on Edward S. Richards I thought at first maybe Elsie remarried but I found Noel Sheraton’s death in Nova Scotia in 1945 and Elsie (wife) is the informant. I believe Donald Paterson Sheraton and Donald Patterson Richards are the same person. Now the question. Where does Edward S. Richards come from? Any help would be appreciated.
