How, pray tell did this blatent non genealogy ad, indicated in the subject line, get into the system? I get enough garbage from other sources - I don't need it from genealogy research as well. Virginia A Shaw

His father was Jacob A. STEEVES. It also shows that William LUTZ, the husband of Catherine STEEVES, died on Thursday, 4 Sep 1879. So it would appear that 1879 is the correct year. Hi Karen, The "Provincial Hospital" in Fairville ( now part of west Saint John) was previously known as the Provincial Lunatic Asylum. Its last name was Centracare before it was closed (about 10 years ago?) In any case it was a hospital for patients with mental problems of any kind. However in earlier days it also at times was a place for homeless people with possible mental problems, that sort of thing. Even people with Alzheimers were sent there. It dates from the mid 1800's. Hope this helps, Suzanne Carter ----- Original Message ----- From: "Karen Carignan" <kcarignan@shaw.ca> To: <newbrunswick@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, December 08, 2006 5:52 PM Subject: [ NB ] St. John Hospital > Could someone please tell me what kind of a hospital Fairville Provincial > Hospital was during the 1940's. Hi; There was a Obit in the Telegraph-Journal a month or so ago for Donald Harry Patriquen who was born 7 Sept 1918 in Boston Mass. the son of Wes and Jessie (Burns) Patriquen. Was he a relative of the Patriquen Family who lived in Apohaqui area? Thanks. John
How very interesting to see Fitzpatrick AND Donovan in your post. My husband's grandmother, May Luppold was a Donovan. Her father's name was Jeremiah. He was born in Boston or Ireland.....no proof either way. My aunt, Agnes Noonan married Robert Fitzpatrick......probably in the 1920's. He seems to have deserted the family back in the mid 1900's and was never again heard from, after he left.
