Hello all Obit below Would anyone know if Robert Alexander HARDWICK, born 1942 (unknown place) would be the wife of the Ruth Lenora (nee NELSON) HARDWICK that died in Tidnish, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia that is subject of obit below? She died 26 Nov 2005. She was born in 1946 at Amherst, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia. Her obit says that she married a Robert HARDWICK , but there is not further info about this Robert. I see that the parents of the Robert Alexander HARDWICK I have in my notes, Victor Burnham HARDWICK=Mary Constance WATSON, were married in Saint John, New Brunswick in 1936 and Victor held a bank manager's job in Sackville, New Brunswick. Victor died in Moncton, New Brunswick. Ruth Lenora was born in Amherst and died in Tidnish which are just across the NS/NB border from Mocton, Sackville and Saint John. I suspect that these 2 Roberts are one and same, but other than this above info that leads to the possibility, I have no proof. Any advice? Looking to connect with a HARROLD family researcher. I have a Mary HARROLD who married Alexander LOBAN on Aug 20,1820 in Northumberland County. Alexander died 1849 and I have found no later record of Mary. Not only did I not find Mary in 1851 but the HARROLD family does not appear on that census. I'm wondering if she might have been from another part of the province and returned there after Alexander's death. Welcome hearing from anyone who might have a suggestion. Debbie

Hello All, In going through the christenings at Fredericton on the York County GenWeb page, I came across four children baptized Jan 23, 1795 at Fredericton. They are listed as the children of York & Sarah Lawrence. They were Nancy, Robert, Sarah & William. I cannot find any reference to a York Lawrence anywhere, and think it may be some sort of misprint. Does anyone know who these Lawrence's are? Thank You, Lisa Z
An error on my part in saying that an arrival in 1900 would not be found in the 1901 census. Had my calendar backwards!! Apologies!!! The Home Children database at LAC (Library and Archives Canada) shows that Rosina BUSST arr. in 1900. With arrival date of 18 Jun 1900 Rosina won't show up in the 1901 NB census and by 1911 she would be 19 and no longer under the watchful eye of Middlemore's. So using Rosina to locate John Mott is a difficult situation.
