Hi Donald - I think the Thomas you have b. 1842 must be a brother to my Charles Augustus Charlton b. 1853 -- do you know anything about the other children of Charles Augustus Charlton and Lena Golden? How do you come to have info about this family? I am researching for my aunt-by-marriage -- Charles was her grandfather. Jared - seems you must be right, dates just don't add up. I'm trying to clean up/verify someone else's family notes here -- looks more like Thomas might have been brother (?) or at least same generation as Charles Augustus. Hi List, The Will of Jonathan GORUM shows daughter Phebe 15 pounds.... I would like to know what is written after this phrase? Does it show husband's name? I am researching the GIGGEY line. Trinity Church records, Kingston Parish, Kings Co., shows Walter Moor and wife Phebe (maiden name) GIGGEY... however, the Moore and Gorum genealogies show Phebe's maiden name as GORUM. And to complicate matters, the child that was being baptized on the same record showing maiden name GIGGEY was Ann Gorum Moor. Appreciate the help. Shirley
Trying to confirm a marriage, between Thomas(?) Charlton and Margaret Dougan. Their son Charles Augustus Charlton born in 1853, so marriage presumably prior to that date. Any information gratefully appreciated. Marilyn in Vancouver

Nina (Wheaton) Ganong m2 June 20, 1917 in Saint John, James Alexander Miller. But who was this Jacob Ganong? I didn't find any Jacob on the 1911 NB census. I didn't find this Nina on the census either. There was an older Jacob Ganong, b. 19 Feb 1828, m. 23 Dec 1852, Mary Erb, d/o Warren Erb & Eliza Wheaton. They had a son, Jacob. According to the PANB online records, Jacob Jr. and Eunice Jones m. 1888. In 1901, this family seems to be duplicated as they are on the Saint John census (Lansdowne Ward) and the Hampton census. Gerry, Surely mother of Garnet was Etta M. Armstrong, as listed in his marriage record to Marcella Hogan in Massachusetts, as follows: Garnet Francis Colpitts m. 08-Aug-1906 to Marcella Hogan at Andover, Essex Co, MA. He was 24, she was 25, first marriage for both. He was "of Beverly, MA" and she of Andover. He was a carpenter, b. NB, she was "at home" b. Ireland. He MAY have married 2nd, a woman named Mary, as the dates for her age/birth in 1920 and 1930 census records, do NOT match well to Marcella's. I have more detailed information if you're interested. Jared: I had Garnet at first as the son of Thomas & Jane N. Colpitts as stated in the 1891 & 1901 census, and in the 1901 census Thomas had previously died and Jane was head of the family and she stated that Garnet was her son, but when I recived Jane's obit (18 March 1933) it mentioned that Garnet was a step-son. It also mentioned that he was residing in Soco?, Maine (the copy was in poor condition, but it looked like Soco). Would you have the date of Garnet's death? I have him as being born 9 January 1883, Elgin, Albert County, N.B. It also mentioned his step-brothers and sister, Dalton, Curtis, Fletcher and Ettie, it also mentioned a grand-daughter Leta Parkin, therefore, I am assuming that Ettie married a Mr. Parkin, but again I am unable to find anything further on these children, not sure if they moved to the USA or who they married. But I wish to take this opportunity to thank you for the information as I would never thought to look for him in the State of Mass. Jared, are the Mass. census on line? Hi List, I just received the death record of Annie T. (Betts) NICE who married Cornelius NICE 1829 Carleton Parish (West Saint John), NB. Annie died 1892 in Malden, Mass. and was buried in Carleton Parish, NB. On the record, it records her parents' names as George W. BETTS born Norwalk, Connecticut, and Rachel MUNROE born Scotland. I cannot find any record at all on her parents. I also checked the Loyalist line of Azor BETTS, but he was from Westchester Co., NY. ... which makes me wonder if some of the information given regarding her parents was inaccurate. Any help is most appreciated. Shirley
