    1. [ NB ] Daniel Johnson's Vital Statistics online at PANB - a question
    2. Bill Tufts
    3. Re: Daniel F. Johnson's newspaper extracts from N.B. newspapers online at PANB: Just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience. When I do a surname search, it doesn't seem to matter what the name is, the most I get are 200 hits & I've had this happen with several families. I wondered if it maxed out at 200, so I tried a family by breaking down the years into 4 timeframe groupings. I still came up with 200. Am I missing a click-on somewhere to get more than 200 entries, if there are more? Bill

    3. Good morning Pam, Would you please look up a name for me in your collection of Vital Statistics from the New Brunswich Newspapers you mention below? The person I am researching is my GGrandmother whose name was Hannah Tompkins (b) April 10, 1838 somewhere in New Brunswick. Our family records do not identify her parent's names. Her family may have been from New York. 2. Tim Kemp
    3. This is confusing because Heritage Quest has flatly stated, more than once, that the only ones losing remote access would be the societies. They have stated that there are no plans to remove remote access from card holders of public libraries, only the societies. They have stated that this was a misunderstanding on the part of those who thought the societies and the libraries were both being cut. 3. Godfrey Memorial Library has not renewed with Heritage Quest, which has forced me to subscribe to Ancestry to get census records. You may purchased CDs directly from Heritage Quest. It is organized by counties within each particular State. Runs about $25 each. I have several from central Ohio, if anyone needs a lookup. Only occasionally does some one indicate they were born in Canada. 2. Hello, I know the problem. My family came from New Brunswick. I even have their census records. All of a sudden they are in Maine 10 years later in the Maine census. I've been able to narrow it down with birth records on the Maine site to within 3 years of the Canadian census. Might want to try that. 3. Hi Gerry: No, James died between 1861-1865 around that time (page 402). BUT, a JOHN Crossman was married to Matthew. I got into a big augment with a cousin who was claiming JAMES married Matthew, until I pointed out how she had mixed them up. At that time I spent hours checking all the records and at the archives, until I finally convinced her how wrong she was. I just hope she changed her tree or she will leave all the wrong information.
