Not her ... I should have given more info. On 21 Nov., 1835, at Hartland, Brighton, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada , Rhoda Ann DAY married Abraham STOCKFORD, a Loyalist descendant. Witnesses at the wedding ceremony of Abraham & Rhoda were: Job S. LEWIS & James HALLETT. She and Abraham both died in Hodgdon, Aroostook, Maine, but I can find no death certificates or cemetery records. I have literally wandered the cemeteries of Hodgdon and nearby Houlton, and at least a dozen other small cemeteries, to no avail. For nearly 30 years I have been trying to find out who her parents were. > Jim, > > Could this be her?? Hi Pam & Listers, This sounds like Dan Johnson's Vital Statistics . . . they're all on line and you can do you own lookups at the NB Provincial Archives Web site http://archives.gnb.ca/APPS/NewspaperVitalStats/?L=EN Marilyn ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > Subject: [ NB ] Vital Statistics from NB newspapers i will do lookups!!!! > > HI > i was given a collection or Vital Statisticsw from New Brunswich Newspapers > And will gladly do lookups for anyone , i also was given some other valuable > > books > and will list in another email > this is what i have just email me for a lookup. > > Newspapers years > 1845-1856 > 1863-1864 > 1837-1838 > 1857-1859 > 1859-1861 > 1876-1876 > 1878-1878 >
Jim, I just did a google search for your Abraham Stockford - showing that he died in 1855 - which I'm sure you already know. (I'm just thinking as I write...) So Abraham and Rhoda are not on any County Court House records.... and Rhoda does not appear on any subsequent census living with a son or daughter? Could she have remarried? Pam, Thank you for your kind offer to do look-ups in New Brunswick Lineages. Adiah is in my direct lineage. Andrew, Justus, and Jonathan are his brothers. John is the son of Andrew. All are descended from Joseph Sherwood, Jr. of Cortland Manor (York Twp), Westchester County, NY. Bob Sherwood Falmouth, MA.

According to the marriage record of one Rhoda Ann DAY, she was born "1818, Hartland, Brighton, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada" Her marriage record states the place of her birth as her marriage place also, with the date of 21 Nov., 1835. However, I believe she is related to the Cabbage patch dolls and was hatched in someone's garden, as I can find no other record of her having been in NB. Anyone have info otherwise? Jim ;o)
