What a good idea... I was trying to think of where he would have been cutting stone in Sackville - makes sense. I am hoping to find the marriage (probably in the 1880s) of James HUESTON (Houston, Hughson) b. abt 1864 to Barbara (maiden name unknown) b. abt 1861. The first child I have listed was born in 1889 in Westbrook ME but there may have been children born before that date. I do not have their marriage date. Records of Woodlawn Cemetery, Westbrook, state that Barbara was buried in Petitcodiac NB. The only census I have for them is the 1920 Maine Westbrook. It states that James and Barbara were born in Canada. If anyone has the Albert Co. Marriage book I would appreciate a lookup. Many thanks, Dawn Laverty Matheson
Dawn Lots of HUESTON records (Albert Co.) on Daniel Johnson's Vital Stats from NB Newspapers http://archives.gnb.ca with Westbrook mentioned. - No writeup for James, though. Perhaps put out a query again for a Westmorland Co. Marriage lookup. Shirley On Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 6:23 PM, S. Dawn, Here's the website for the Maine Co. marriages http://portalx.bisoex.state.me.us/pls/archives_mhsf/archdev.marriage_archive.search_form but they don't start until 1892. There is a marriage record for a George D. Hueston in 1917 in Westbrook. I did find them under the Heuston spelling on the 1920 - just James & Barbara - was George their son? Shirley
Hi Dawn, I have checked the cemeteries for salisbury & Moncton Parishes and could not find a Barbara with any of the spellings you provided. I also checked for cemeteries in Kings Co in that general area. None of the books on Marriages for Albert, Westmorland, Kings or Saint John Counties have a James & Barbara. Jane GIGGEY & Priscilla "Jane" GIGGEY To: [email protected] Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Hi List, I an soooo hoping that someone who knows the HENDERSON family genalogy can sort this out for me. On the new Brenan's Funeral Home (panb) records online, the death record for Jane GIGGEY, age 92, Widow, shows that her husband was George Henderson; parents John GIGGEY & Rebecca GOLDING of Kingston Parish, Kings Co.; died 1932; bur Cedar Hill Cemetery, Saint John. Mrs. John FRODSHAM, daughter, was the informant on the record. The 1851 Kings Co. Census shows that John & Rebecca had a daughter Lydia J., age 13. Online, I found this: I have been on Gord Miller's Kingston Parish website and he shows the burial record below and could not sort it out. St. Paul's Cemetery records, Whitehead - burials without gravestones - shows the following record: 6. HENDERSON: = Eliza w/o John Henderson, ae 78 . . . . . . . . . . 12 Mar 1849 = Charles Henry Henderson, Centreton, ae 78 . . . . . 29 Mar 1902 *= Priscilla Jane Henderson, w/o George, ae 82 (Centreton) 8 Jun 1913* *= George Henderson, Centreton, ae 78. . . . . . . . . 14 Feb 1914* = Julia Ann Henderson, St. John, ae 73. . . . . . . . 1 Jun 1915 Henderson family records show this w/o George William HENDERSON as Priscilla "Jane" GIGGEY - parents unknown; bur 1913 w/ hsuband Geroge who died 1914. Other records show this family as having children Lavinia, etc. including daughter named Charlotte. The George E. HENDERSON who suddenly has a wife Jane on the 1881 Census - I don't know if this is the Jane GIGGEY d/o John & Rebecca (GOLDING) GIGGEY OR if she is even a GIGGEY. For me, the clue is the Mrs. John FRODSHAM who was the informant and the daughter of the Jane GIGGEY who died in 1932. According to NB Archives records, the wife of John FRODSHAM was Charlotte GIGGEY. I have searched through the various censuses and have found the following records - which have not answered the question. 2 George HENDERSONs - both with wives named Jane - but only one with a daughter named Charlotte.
