Hi Listers, Am seeking your assistance regarding the operation of laundries in Auckland Provincial Hospital and Auckland Asylum in 1860s. My gr gr grandmother Charlotte Moore was awarded tenders to provide laundry for these 2 institutions between the years of 1860 to 1865. I am keen to find out more about how the laundries were operated. Does anyone know whether the laundries were on site, or elsewhere, roughly how many women worked in them and if there is any research available on these 2 laundries please?
