First Thought transcription error 1 Jan 1975 maybe 1 JUNE (Jun) 1975 Ian Message: 4 Date: Sat, 25 Feb 2017 23:57:53 +1000 From: Ailsa Corlett<[email protected]> To: new-zealand<[email protected]> Subject: [nz] help required please re sorting out this death date Message-ID:<[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Hi Have come across something unusual and hoping others can shed a light on something I might be missing. Elizabeth Argue born in 1910 to parents William Robert Argue and Annabella Dippie - Have Full details of date and place etc. According to Marriage Indexes via Microfiche and NZSG Marriage CD, Elizabeth married Charles Stuart MOORE in 1943 Her death via NZ Historical Indexes is in 1975 - broken down to be 9 May 1975 - As Elizabeth Moore with DOB 22 Feb 1910 Further investigation reveals her Ashes are buried with her Parents William R and A Argue in the Marsden Valley Cemetery Nelson (place of parents last place of residence) The Nelson City Council Online Database: lists her Ashes as Interred 1 Jan 1975 Dunedin City Council lists her as being cremated 12 May 1975 and Ashes Returned. NZSG records for cremation on Andersons Bay Cemetery - State her Ashes were returned to Relatives and she died 9 May 1975 This all fits in apart from the Nelson City Council Database regarding Interment. Last time I find Elizabeth and Charles together on the NZ Electoral Rolls is for 1972 in which they are both at Waitati (Oamaru District) Charles is a Medical Practitioner - again all fitting for details of them both that I know of. So my question is: Has the Interment Date been defaulted to 1 Jan 1975 because they do not know the date of interment ??? Anyone else come across this issue, before I contact the Nelson City Council - like to know my facts before I say what is correct and not correct - I DO Not have a copy of the Death Certificate as this is a side line I am working on. I have been working on NZ Historical Database, NZSG CD's, and NZ BDM Microfiche of which I hold in person. Ideas appreciated Regards Ailsa Ailsa Corlett [email protected] http://home.st.net.au/~ailsa alternative email if having trouble sending to my normal email is: [email protected] ------------------------------ -- *(101010)_2 *
