Thank you everyone who replied. I am using son's computer at the moment but as soon as mine arrives - hopefully in the coming week - I will send photos to those who requested them. I don't recognise the photo of Terry Templeton's grandfather but he probably is related. Riccarton is not far from Auchinleck and although my Dad said a lot of the Templetons were not related to him, I now think, after years of research, that they most likely were! I am pretty sure we had relatives in NZ though they were never named by my parents. I will see whether I can find a connection with George and Mabel. Alex's parents were James and Agnes (nee Dunbar). He was born in 1880. The website gives two electoral roll addresses for Gt Uncle Alex - one in 1905-6 and the other 1919. I didn't know he was there in 1905-6. Thank you for that too.
