Hi Murray Try contacting Te Awamutu Courier newspaper, which I have found helpful in the past, or, Te Awamutu Genie society. I was born and lived in Te Awamutu through my school years and know the area you refer as my grandparents were farming there. I just don't know the answers to your specific questions. I will be in Te Awamutu at end of April in school holidays and happy to delve a little further for you if you don't get the response you need in the meantime. Rangiaowhia. (near Te Awamutu) There is a cemetery where the church once stood, but I believe the church was destroyed by fire. Can any lister advise when this fire occurred and preferably supply evidence. I have tried Papers Past. My grandsons are direct descendants of a couple buried in the cemetery in unmarked graves.
