Good Evening Ron While I am not very clever with computers I had a slightly similar problem. We purchased a new computer with Windows 10 and my Version 7 Family Tree Maker was too old to install. I then purchased FTM 2014 from an Australian company and they were very helpful and told me that I could not download my files straight onto the new version but had to install another version using it as a "stepping stone". They very kindly sent me this particular version online and told me how to transfer everything. Unfortunately I can't remember the version they sent me but it may have been 2005. Perhaps you could try contacting the seller of your FTM 2014 and ask for help. The company I dealt with was so helpful and it went in easily.
