    3. Always easier if the locale is pinpointed. George Thomas HAWKER (1839 -1924) a Crimea War veteran and came out on the Tudor in 1865. He was a baker and set up in CHCH. In Caledonian Rd. He moved to New Brighton in 1869. He was one of those who agitated for a school there and a P.O. A pillar in the stone wall at the Pier has his name. Sidney Hawker, a retired baker of CHCH Harry Nelson Hawker, a retired baker of CHCH. Died 5th July 1947. Son Herbert Nelson Baker of No. 19 Crescent Rd, Kingston Hill, Surrey, England. Sidney Hawker Baker. Niece Adela Innes, No. 47 Caledian Rd, St. Albans, CHCH. Sister Edith Innes. Niece Elsie Bucket. Nephew Arthur Innes, Stanmore Rd, Richmond, CHCH.
