    3. Hi Peter and Michelle, I have no connection with this family, but if it helps, George HAWKER retired baker, died 11 Sept 1894 aged 75 and is buried in the Rutherford Cemetery, Woolston, Christchurch, in the same plot as his wife Catherine who died 4 June 1869 aged 51. A George Hawker married Catherine Cheeseman in NZ in 1877. (George's second wife?) The Catherine who is buried in the Mt Magdala Cemetery, Halswell, 16 July 1900 has her full name, Catherine Hawker, on a monument at the Cemetery. She is likely to be the Catherine Hawker who was released from a drunkenness charge in 1900 to allow her to attend a Salvation Army Home. (Catherine nee Cheeseman, who took to drink when George died?) Amelia Lyons died 1880 at George Hawker's home Ferry Rd Woolston. She came to NZ in 1859 with some of her family aboard the Zealandia. Hopefully you will be able to work out which of the Catherines are Redrup, Lyons and Cheeseman.
