Graham I can recall there being a Children's a Home in Remuera in the 50's & 60's. It was in Remuera Road as one was heading away from Newmarket on the left just past the block of shops at the corner of Bassett Road. If memory serves me correctly it only took girls. Cheers Dave MacKinven
