In the Magistrate's Court to-day, Philip Kenning Fowler, an aviator employed by the New Zealand Aero Transport Company, was charged with trick flying, namely, nose-diving over the town of Timaru, and flying at an altitude over the town so low that it was dangerous to the public. Another aviator in the same plane was also similarly charged, but he is ill, and Senior-Sergeant Fahey applied for a remand of both cases for a fortnight, which was granted. This is the first case in New Zealand under the Aviation Act.
