Is anyone researching John HAMILTON ? He was a passenger per Zealandia 1862, age 26, Farm Lab., from Co.Down. On board on that Trip we have Finlay, Hampton & Hamilton all from Co. Down. Was John was part of that extended family ? I bought the 1878 Birth Certificate for a child to John Hamilton & Jane Finlay, neither parent is from Co.Down. There are a number of John Hamilton's showing , on the BDM on line, too many to start buying further Certificates , so am trying this avenue, hoping I strike Gold.
