Is there anyone researching the name SAYWELL? It is believed that a SAYWELL family in NZ somewhere - possibly Taranaki, is related to Joseph Saywell TOSLAND ( 1848- 1927 )whose mother was Eliza SAYWELL the daughter of Joseph SAYWELL a blacksmith in Middlesex/ London area. Joseph Saywell TOSLAND lived and farmed in Taranaki. I would like to prove this family story one way or another if I can,so any help would be greatly appreciated. Wendy
Hello Wendy There are Saywells here in North Taranaki (New Plymouth, etc), if you care to look in the Directory, you will find them. You could try a letter to the Taranaki Daily News.
