    3. Hi Beth, There are two possibilities, the McNab collection held in Dunedin Public Library http://www.dunedinlibraries.govt.nz/heritage/digital-resources/mcnab-new-zealand-collection Or the Alexander Turnbull collection held with the National Library of New Zealand http://natlib.govt.nz/collections/a-z/alexander-turnbull-library-collections Both hold shipping lists and ships diaries which might help you out, happy hunting! I understand that the vessel MARY THOMSON ( or THOMPSON ) plied between Wellington and several South Island ports on a regular basis during the 1850's.    I have been searching for a list of passengers who were on the sailing which arrived in Nelson on 2nd May 1856 but have had no success - even on Papers Past.   Does anyone have a listing at all, or any access to this passenger list?    Or can direct me to a website to search?   Thanks in advance,   Beth The List Guidelines http://new-zealand-l.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to NEW-ZEALAND-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
