I have briefly checked Picks and Bricks (it doesn't have an index)and have found an F E SMITH first built the Public Hall in Glentunnel with the help of many volunteers in approx. 1918 Also a Fred Smith, pottery and clay miner is listed as being in Glentunnel before World War 2 .
