Hi Listers firstly a big thank you to Dave MacKinven who found my Will online!!! saves a trip AND it contained not only the Will but a copy of George SMITH's death certificate So George Stephen SMITH born in Gloucestershire (i found a baptism for him in Coln St Denis for 6 Mar 1834 parents George SMITH and Elizabeth STEPHEN (yay) his time in New Zealand was stated as 25 Years (take away from 1899) leaves time of arrival about 1874. Not a lot of help as yet but the number of children was a help. 6 daughters born 1867. 1870.1877.1879.1881.1887 and 2 sons born 1872 and 1885 so when he arrived he may have had 2 daughters Mary born in Bridgend Wales c1867 one b c1870 and a son b1872 the rest must have been born here. According to his death reg he was married June 1867 in Wales? but havent found anything on Free BMD her name is Elizabeth AKER/S with or without the S. still going square eyed at the census but nothing computes if anyone can help would be very grateful. Mind you death reg info is notorious for being wrong so ................... thanks Patsy
