Further digging has unearthed a number of NICKEL children having births registered as "Illeg", mother's names are revealed as daughters of above, some also reveal father's name, in all cases date and place are included... Further searching now shows, in some cases, adopted parents names and also child's, new, given names as a result of adoption... One in particular, Thelma Doris NICKEL bn 3 Apr. 1907, Hawera, reveals parent's name as Adelina NICKEL... Is that Adelina Ruby NICKEL? bn c1891, or Adelina NICKEL nee SCHULZ? bn c1869...
