Hi Jenny: Archives NZ have the "stud books" or yearly lists of employees, Public Service, Post Office and Railways. They are by grade etc and many do not have an index by name. Probably up to the 1980s, and may not include temporary or non-salaried employees. For Railways, Archives in Wellington also have service schedules on cards (in boxes?). See Research Guide No 7; Government Employment (3rd down). http://archives.govt.nz/research/guides Yours, John Wilson Subject: [nz] Old Railway staff Records > Did I see somewhere that there are lists of Railway employees about > 1945-55 > or did I dream it > Cheers Jenny > I DON"T do mornings!!!!
