Walter Freeman + Annie Wackett 1855. this is the only Freeman I have heard off here in Wairarapa.. Annie was born Hertfordshire (Herts) Walter and Annie married in London 1851. if the Freeman is off this line, please get in touch, I have descendants for you.. one child of Walter and Annie was Theresa, surname of WACKETT. She married James Burton Penny 1870. buried at Clareville. Farmed here at Clareville, was the first family in my cottage which was built by Charles Dakin, he moved in when James moved out possibly to Grassmere up Hughes Line. Clareville. James sister Mary, married Bishop Nevill. Of Dunedin. I know the family also moved down to Newtown . Wellington and later to Otaki. I have quite a packet on this family and met many descendants, its part of the Clareville Cemetery Research as there are burials up there for the Burton Penny family.
