Hello Everyone, I have found a new member of the GARRETT family. He was a Seaman called JOHN JAMES GARRETT b. 1886 Isle of Man, yes, brother of WILLIAM JOSEPH GARRETT of Nelson, NZ. I have found that he and his wife lived in 24A Kilbirnie Cres., Wellington East....Mount Victoria Supplimentary Roll from 1946-1949. I have also found a Marriage Index for him but no Bride given....on Ancestry.com. Year 1946 New Zealand. Folio No. 1736. Her Christian name was DOROTHY MARTHA ?.......as per the Electoral Rolls of 1946 and 1949. He was an Able Seaman for over 36 years, eventually they both settled back in England I believe, as I found them back in Southampton in 1951. However, I would really love to know Dorothy Martha's maiden name..... Would someone possibly have a record of that marriage in 1946? I don't think there were any children of this Marriage, but have no proof....one way or another at this stage. TIA, Robyn Australia
