    3. Only church I know of where it's a venue for weddings its Hart Udy built in Greytown now at Cobblestones Museum in Main Street. Greytown, I am checking up on the Roman Catholic one, but feel sure it's the one at Cobblestones, it does have ceremonies there when you want to use it as a Wedding Ceremony, there have been a few off late. According to one of my reference books for Wairarapa Greytown Sacred Heart was built in 1880 in Greytown. Memories of South Wairarapa book. So it must be Hart Udy church in the Complex. now many of the old churches around the country are now used by schools, moved to them, like St Matthews College. Pownall St.. day and boarding for Girls. Solway College (Girls) have a chapel.. Rathkeale have a Chapel. If you google Cobblestones you will see the chapel there which Hart Udy built. it was for the Methodist religion when first built, but am sure it is the one enquiry is about.. built about 1860s, but will keep checking it out. Welcome back Rootsweb.. Adele Pentony-Graham Volunteer of Friends of Cobblestones.

    3. Hi Adele The church is no longer a wedding venue (if it ever was) - I checked them all out before finding out it is a shop in the Main St of Greytown. I can't see it on street view on Wises so maybe it's changed quite a bit. If someone can pin-point it for me I'd appreciate it and a photo if someone is nearby - there may be a plaque stating where it came from which would be really great. Many thanks Sue On Fri, Jun 27, 2014 at 10:40 AM, Adele Pentony-Graham < pentonygraham@xtra.co.nz> wrote: > Only church I know of where it's a venue for weddings its Hart Udy built in > Greytown now at Cobblestones Museum in Main Street.
