All seeking help for a nephew please, re his great grand-mother Harriett Ann DRIVER (aka WILSON). She arrived in Lyttleton with her daughter Georgina Harriett DRIVER aboard the "British Empire" in Sep1864 & settled out at Kowai Bush near Springfield, Canterbury. They were from Surrey, Harriet born 1829 Croydon & Georgina born possibly Q1 1859 Lambeth. Georgina married George James Brown, had many children, & died in Christchurch 1940. I am wondering if there is any local history booklet or info assembled that someone would look up please? I am interested in these questions: 1. What occupation did Harriet have to keep her & her daughter? 2. She was buried in same plot at Kowai Pass as Alexander Johnston d. 14/02/1887 aged 69. Who was he? 3.
