Talk about pc !!! crazy Ok so am I and a LOT of others in trouble now?? because WE actually transcribed those cards??? what about us? who are we in trouble with??? what a load of baloney. The churches gave permission (I PRESUME!!) for the cards to be transcribed off the registers so my guess is the churches own the intellectual property!! I sat for hours in the Methodist Archives transcribing - and if they are happy to have the registers transcribed on to cards what on earth is the problem with Beverley loading them onto her site same difference only a LOT more people have access. Nothing has changed really. I transcribed St Mary's church Addington on to computer and somewhere I must still have the file so does that make me a law breaker??? WHo on earth thinks up these ridiculous ideas? OR who was it that complained???? maybe one of those stiffnecked do gooders laid a complaint (for some unknown reason - like grandma's marriage was a "little late" and now its all over the net??? ) and the library is too scared to tell them to toddle off. crazy cheers Patsy
