if anyone is interested, I have the copy of this book, Tokomaru School and District Centenary 1893-1993. oh my its been worth its weight in gold for me since finding it for sale on Trademe! So many names I recognise, Lankshear, so have emailed Ron about it... It has pages of the children attending Tokomaru school from year dot... also WW1 One name I keep coming up in the book is LIGGINS.. Has photographs of WW1 soldiers from the district.also listed WW2 Roll of Honour. Waghorn is another name, as we had this name at Clareville Cemetery years ago.. Wilton.. I was after this particular book for a very good reason, has in it exactly what I was hoping for, to do with a research I was helping with over the years. omg! Now if this person attended the school, and what she told me where she was in that year.. her story was pure fiction, dream on lady! But several of us had to research her to prove she was completely incorrect.
