    3. This nephew of my GGGG Thomas Plunkett ex Ireland, after having a son in Victoria in 1855 came to NZ with the 40th reg. Wife Mary Ann appears to have died in the UK in 1859. Wounded in the NZ wars in June 1860, a man of the same name marries in the UK 1860 (cert ordered but not yet arrived) He is on the 1861 cencus at Colchester Barracks. No further reference so far found. Now this is my question after 20years in the Army he was discharged in Auckland 4th Feb 1865, would he have needed to be present. In other words did he return to NZ? cheers penne .. --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! Antivirus protection is active. http://www.avast.com
