Now as the 100th anniversary of the Armistice is upon us, I remember with respect and gratitude, not only those who gave their lives for us, but also those who fought beside them and survived; those who stayed behind and did whatever they could to support those abroad; and also those who keep their memories alive and remind us of the sacrifices that those folk and their families made - and why they made them.
