I would like to know firstly what ethnic categories there were on the last two or three census forms and secondly just how our statistics people analyse this data. My recollection is that if you chose more than one ethnic group to identify yourself and one of those groups was Maori then you were officially recognised as Maori. Is my memory correct and if so what was the basis for such a determination.
