    3. Hi, I wish I could be there too, I have Huguenot ancestry in the name of "Tabart", they left France during the French Revolution and went to England. The families went to Andover, England ,before coming to Australia. Francis Gerard Tabart was a ship's Captain and they settled in Tasmania. It will be an interesting talk. Cheers Chris Victoria Australia ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` > HeritageTalk: Wednesday - "Was your ancestor a Huguenot?" with Marion Heap > > Central City Library > Wednesday 29 August > 12pm to 1pm > > Join Marion Heap for this family history-related HeritageTalk for Family > History Month. > > Huguenot communities in England 1705 > > The Huguenots were refugees who left France, Germany and the Low Countries > between approximately 1550-1750, in response to religious persecution. > They settled in England, Ireland, other European countries, America and > South Africa. > > This talk will provide a general background and explain how Huguenot > ancestry can be researched in Auckland.
