    3. Hi Susan, for google searches try "Joseph Bloggs" +"Jane Doe" The quotes force google to return the exact phrase. Add other words such as +Auckland +1875 +genealogy. Play around with different options. I find a husband and wife combination works for me especially for very common names. Hope this helps. 3. Hi Karen I tried your suggestion and the only one to pop up was Beryl Hampson, her birthdate doesn't agree with Steve's. Frederick William and Ivy May HOLDING are both in the Waikumete cemetery records. this gives me a death date for Ivy May so will now go and have a look in the NZ Herald for 1993 and see if there is a notice with any clues. 3. An interesting e-mail Christine. I can't help specifically, but I do have a James Duncan EVERETT who married Mary Ann NUTTALL at some stage. I can't find a marriage, nor can I find a birth or death for James Duncan. There are two James' mentioned on Victoria outwards - one to Otago in 1861 and one to Lyttleton in 1875. As you know, in those days officialdom had the infuriating habit of referring to women as 'Mrs' or 'Miss'. I don't know much about Mary Ann NUTTALL other than that she died in 1935 and is buried in Hawera Cemetery. James Duncan is listed as a Master Mariner on one document and a plumber on another. The HERBERTs and the MEYERs are also of interest to me, but I can't tie them together (yet). Mary Ann and James Duncan had one child - Catherine, born 1885. If any of the above is of any help, I'm happy to expand my information.
