I know the passengers are listed in the newspaper (Papers Past), but need more detail on 2 names that are listed and hoping that the actual passenger list or other publication may hold vital information. 3. Hi All Have been unable to locate the death & burial of James REARDON b.1847 Limerich IRE – d.1892 NZ until today when the below info was sent. But is he my man?? Have had a quick look at Papers Past, Hawke’s Bay District but could not pick up an item re his death or his being killed by falling from a bridge. My previous message re this James REARDON suggested that he died in 1882 – and no Death registration was found for that year. The parents of James REARDON were James REARDON and Catherine nee NUGENT who remained in Ireland. If this is ‘my’ James REARDON why is his wife Caroline Sophia REARDON living (near her adult children) in Perth West Australia (where she died in 1918)? A Family Bible has an entry for James REARDON with the death date of 1882, location unknown, after falling from a bridge. Was the 1882 date given to cover the fact that his wife had reason to leave him around that date????? Is there a kind person who could find something that perhaps we have missed? I’d like to think so. Glenys Savage Adelaide, SA 1892/777 Reardon James 45Y Birth: 1847 Death: Mar. 3, 1892 Burial: Waipukurau Cemetery Waipukurau Central Hawke's Bay District Hawkes Bay, New Zealand
