Patrick Cusack arrived in Lyttelton from Co Clare in Ireland in 1863. On board was Patrick, wife Catherine and children Thomas, Martin and Bridget. Is anyone researching this family? Hi Christine My first suggestion would be to clear temp internet files and cookies but you say you have done that If you are getting the same from two different browsers it does suggest the firewall may be the problem If you let me know the page you seek I can at least sort that out and send it over Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 15/04/2014 20:45, Christine Tregonning wrote: > Hello, > > I am hoping that someone can help me as I have contacted FMP and they have > not been very helpful. > > I have been unable to access either the Australian or the UK site now for > over a week and I have emailed FMP and their response has not been very > helpful. 3. Hi Allan I assume that you mean the Archives site? Yes I have been experiencing similar issues over the past week - also issues over last weekend with some files being available and then go back several minutes later and the link is no longer there. I would assume that it is because they could be uploading files while the site is being accessed by users or as you suggest the lack of capacity to handle the increased volumes. Cheers Dave MacKinven -----Original Message----- From: Allan Steel Sent: Tuesday, April 15, 2014 5:20 PM To: nz list Subject: [nz] National Library site Hi Folks, Just wondering if it me or are other shaving problems with National Library site these days. Appears they have too many items available for searching but lack the capacity to handle the volume of enquires. I have had problems day and night getting consistent access to read WW1 military files. Sometimes the file opens after long delays then won’t open individual pages etc. Thanks Allan The List Guidelines http://new-zealand-l.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to NEW-ZEALAND-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    2. hilton doidge
    3. You're partly right, I would have to concur that the year and place is correct but not the date you mentioned... DIA Historical is wrong in their assumed death date of 20/11/1914... That was the date the 'skeletal' remains were found 'washed ashore' and as the word skeletal was used in the Coroner's report, one can only deduce that the death occurred sometime previous and as stated... In Auckland... The fact that the skull was found some distance from the heavy-chain-draped-clothed-remains may or may not indicate foul play. The death occurred between 4/02/1914 and 20/11/1914... The Coroners final say was "Found Drowned" I have only indicated a year in my Gen. Program as I do not know the exact date of death... I can't ascertain that... No one can... So, sorry, all I can say is that our great-grandfather died alone, who knows, on a day in February 1914???... Remains discovered by Duncan, recognised by the apparel the remains were clothed in and personal items... I will send you a copy of the original Coroner's Report and Police Report and the transcript of both, if you want... Hilt
