The method suggest only works for the files they digitised up to about 6 weeks ago. They now seem to be rushing to get the files all done and that download method does not seem to work now. I agree, it is difficult at the start. Read the Help on their Home page. I suggest you click your desired digitized link. Then on the page with PDF, DOC etc etc, (which mostly don’t work) hover left with your mouse on the screen to reveal an arrow to go to the next/previous page. Forget about choosing the type of view (PDF, etc). Prepare to while away a few hours! Bryan (Chch)
Hi Bruce , Judging by your comment you will no doubt be aware that : Ellen Dyett married James Johnny Fougere in 1876 Cheers , Ray On Mon, Apr 28, 2014 at 8:26 PM, Bruce Holm <bholm@clear.net.nz> wrote: > Hi all, > > I have a photograph that has come to me independently from > two separate sources - one family, one researcher of social > history in the Hawkes Bay and I have been given the same > story about it's participants . Hi all, I have a photograph that has come to me independently from two separate sources - one family, one researcher of social history in the Hawkes Bay and I have been given the same story about it's participants . I am led to believe that the photo represents two family lines - my DYETT and the other FOUGERE. If this is correct then the picture could only have been taken between 1876 and 1884. I would like to be able to positively identify members of the picture, taken in a rural setting and am happy to share common information. regards Bruce

Thanks to two folk who answered my query on above lady. What my main query was about it looks like when she died in 1948 she was 75yrs in NZ so that would have made here five as she was 80 at her death. Her death notice said she died Christchurch and bought back to dunedin to be buried with her son Cecil Stanley horne. Just wandering if on earlier census in Christchurch with her parents i would like to find a little bit on her and she was married Christchurch Register office 1891. Been to archives in Christchurch to see but nothing there. Appreciate anything help on Lizzie wright, Thanks Sue

To whom it may concern Comments : I am trying to trace the whereabouts of the Wright family. David Frederic Wright left England in 1920 for New Zealand and settled there. His last known address in 1980 (the year he died) was 36 Oxton Road, Sandringham, Auckland, New Zealand. He had two children John and Eunice and married his wife Marjorie Gladys Pullen/Burry in 1924. John Richard married Jane and Eunice Winifred married Grahame Jarrett. At that date in 1980 David had 8 grandchildren, Sharon, Lynette, Helen, Ivan, Glenis, Gregory, Robyn and Linda and also 3 great grandchildren, Penny, Marie and Kim. I live in England and the reason I am trying to contact a member of the Wright family is because David used to worship at an Old Chapel here in Upminster, Essex, England. This Chapel has recently been restored and renovated after 50 years of neglect and in November we hope to put on an exhibition for the Anniversary of WW1 about 4 Service men which includes David who served in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve Division London Service as a signalman. Any help you can give would be appreciated. With Regards from Betty Shillingford
