Yes I checked a few of my own and I noticed that they were born in the Chathams. One birth I am sure occurred in New Plymouth but I don't have the actual registration to compare. http://search.ancestry.co.uk/search/db.aspx?dbid=6195 Ancestry.co.uk has put online a collection of some 113,000 names from the registers of medical practitioners and nurses from New Zealand. This collection covers New Zealand Register of Medical Practitioners, 1873, 1882-1920. Nurses and Midwives Register of New Zealand, 1903-1933 The collection can be searched by name and location. A typical listing gives the name of the individual, their qualifications and their location. This list covers physicians, surgeons, nurses and midwives. http://blogs.ancestry.com/au/2012/11/01/new-nz-collections/ http://www.ancestry.com.au/newzealand

Hi Is there anyone who can do a lookup in the Timaru Herald 28 April 2014 for George Roland ANDERSON? Many thanks Sue
Hi Robyn: Re finding his place of birth, they are not shown on the ITMs. The ITM (Intentions to Marry) notice will give their ages, occupation (male, sometimes female) and time in district (which may or may not be the time in New Zealand), plus the place where the marriage is to be held. Later ones may have for widows/widowers or divorcees the date of that status (giving death date for spouse of widow/widower). The marriage may be a few days after the date of the notice (maximum 3 months). They only show parent(s) when giving consent for marriage of a minor. Hello listers, Any researchers looking for these names might like to read this blog post: http://publicaddress.net/system/cafe/southerly-who-was-george-hildebrand-ali ngton/ It is a fascinating story unfolding from papers found in the attic of a house post renovations and earthquakes. I wonder how many other such "finds" have been lost as buildings were pulled down after the earthquakes? Lynley Chapman

Frederick John Proctor married Beverley June Muir and both died in NSW - does anyone on the list have any information - apparently they did not have children -
That one maybe incorrect as found in Papers Past, if W. J. Garrett sailed here in 1922 and his daughter got married in 1908.. Maybe the other Garrett that was in Wellington, connected to the Carter family and other names. I have a book on a book by a Carter, not CRC of Carterton, but another Carter family that was in early Carterton.. which also has GARRETT in Wellington. W. Garrett, and not the one in Island Bay, so please just recheck it out.. Adele Clareville
