You may have to 'Export' your old FTM files (As a GEMCON file - Give it a NAME) to a location on your computer, then from the new FTM 2014 'Import' that saved file into your new FTM. Should find the 'Export' & 'Import' function under the File Tab on FTM. Been years since I had to do this, but hope it helps. Jim - MI, US

We have recently acquired a painting by a FE Richardson of early Nelson. On hunting on Google we have discovered that she was Frances Edith Richardson who also sometimes painted under her maiden name Frances Edith Reynolds. I’ve done a quick search on Archway and also on BDM and can not find any trace of her birth, marriage or death or anything more about her. Can anyone help? Grateful for any information. Sorry, my last post should been headed thus. Carolyn.
It is my understanding, based on deciphering our museum's records that it meant the time at the residence of the Buchanans. In our records the time recorded did not match with time in New Zealand - some of the women were born in New Zealand but had only been at their residence for months and that was the time given in the records. Cheers, Carolyn.

I accidentally left off a bit at the end Notices of Intention to Marry do not give birth dates or places and do not often state usual place of residence if it is outside the centre of registration. Usually the woman’s occupation is not noted. Later entries do not record length of residence.
