    3. Jean, There was a newspaper called the State Line for the area along the obrder of Texas & New Mexico. I think it was in Farwell, Texas across the border from Texaco New Mexico. We visited it once going thru on a trip back in the 1980s and got copies of their archives obiturary for my husband's grandmother Florence Jessie (BURNS) BARGER. They had large old bound books of old newspapers. My husband's BARGER, BURNS, KLOEPPER and WEGMAN ancestors homesteaded abt 1909 near Farwell, Texas & Clovis, New Mexico area. The library in Clovis, NM might have some obituaries on film. They had a nice new library when we went thru there in late1990s with a genealogy section. hve you read the 1920 census for the area she lived in? Most of the LDS Family History Centers in New Mexico have all the NM Census. My husband's ancestry line is in the BARGER line link of our homepage. http://members.truepath.com/beverly/index.html Beverly (HIMES) BARGER ----- Original Message ----- From: <Cottestail@aol.com> To: <NEW-MEXICO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, August 01, 2000 1:38 PM Subject: [NEW-MEXICO] Death Index 1929 > Hi Jim, > I gather from the others that have asked you to look up some info from the > New Mexico Death Index that you do that.
