Dear List Buddies- Just to clarify the information available in Fray Angelico Chavez's book, "Origins of New Mexico Families".......the families written about are those in New Mexico in the 17th and 18th centuries. They are 99% of Spanish or Portuguese origin. In the latest addition, there is a small addenda of individuals present in New Mexico in the period 1820 to 1850, but this does not list many in comparison to the rest of the book.
