The correct spelling is "Thoreau" and it is very near Gallup. Gallup publishes a daily newspaper. We go there often but I can't remember the name of it. Call the Gallup Visitors Bureau at 800-242-4282 or 505-863-3841 and ask them for the phone number of the newspaper. The paper might do the research over the phone.
