    3. Hello list - I hope this message isn't too off-task for this forum. If so, I apologize. Since I was knee-high to a jackrabbit, I remember my dad telling me about the mysterious disappearance of Albert Fountain and his 8-year-old son Henry at chalk hill near present-day White Sands in the Tularosa basin. I've always been intrigued by that story and would appreciate any opinions about what really happened on that cold day in 1896. Being a former archaeologist and teacher, I decided to write a fiction based on that event, an adventure that flashes back to the story as I know it. My intent was to make the story appealing to young folks, from about 7th grade to 10th, and blending in some geology with the history. If you have a teenager or teach those grades and would like to generate a little interest in New Mexico history, maybe you'd like to check out the book. Justin Crumble and the Journey of the Dead, is available only online at Barnes&Noble.com, Amazon.com, and iUniverse.com. (There MAY be a few copies at the little bookstore in Mesilla). I think it's 9.95 per copy. Robert Jay Lambeth
