    1. [NEW-MEXICO] My connection to New Mexico
    2. Hi, I thought I would post my connection to New Mexico, and then you all can follow suit. We lived in Edgewood, New Mexico in the early 1970's. My youngest daughter was born in Albuquerque, N.M. We lived in Belle Vista Estates. I loved the area, my kids went to Moriarity to school, 7 miles away. We have also lived in Tucumcari, New Mexico, back in 1962. I liked that area also back then. Lots of history. Also a wonderful mexican restaurant on Hiway 66. Moriarity also had a great restaurant. I miss not being able to buy Hatch Green Chilies, here. I also miss that getting green chilies in cartons like cottage cheese comes in, frozen. We would take a stick of margarine, melt it, put in a chopped onion and a container of green chilies, and cook until the onion was clear, also a little garlic. Made a great sauce for burritos.
