My late mother-in-law, Louise Turner was born in Silver City, NM. She was the daughter of John Wesley Turner, Jr., son of John Wesley Turner, Sr. who was the son of George L. Turner. The Turner's came from Texas around the turn of the century and were apparently prominent. There certainly were enough of them! Louise's mother's maiden name was Robertson. An seeking history on both sides of the family, including siblings and their families. Grandma also had a cousin J. Sherwood Culbersen that my husband knew and was very fond of, but I'm sure that by now he is deceased, but can't for the life of me find him anywhere. I still don't know how Sherwood fits into all of this. Well, there you have it.
