    1. PORTER, GUEVAR (WEAVER), MARTIN
    2. Need info on: 1-Carlos PORTER, was he in military, did he take wife to San Antonio, and when? Did he die before 1850? When did he come from Ireland? 2-Is that my Maria Dolores Martin in the 1845 census with a second husband? Where was Lucinda? 3-Need any information on this Martin family and ancestors. Carlos PORTER, b Ireland, parents Thomas PORTER & Nansa PORTER md Lucinda GUEVAR (WEAVER) 23 Dec 1849 at Santa Fe, St. Francis Parish and Our Lady of Light. She was born 5 Sep 1837 at Santa Fe to Pauline WEAVER and Maria Dolores MARTIN. WEAVER was variously recorded as GUEVAR, YBABR, BIBAR. (Yes, Pauline. It was probably Powell, but he took the Spanish pronunciation, Anglicized it, and that's what the history books call him. He was a mountain man, was a civilian guide for the Mormon Battalion, and discovered gold and mountains in AZ.) Pauline WEAVER was born 1797-1803 [long labor?] in White Co, TN. He married Maria Dolores Martin, b abt 1814 in Taos, on 2 Sep 1832 in Taos. They had three known children, Jose Bentio Jorge WEAVER, b 28 Apr 1833, Taos; Maria Guadalupe WEAVER, b 21 Jan 1835, Taos; and Maria Lucinda. Pauline was gone yondering before Lucinda was married at age 12(!) in 1849. In the 1845 Census of NM, there is a Maria Dolores Martin who is in the household of Francisco Antonio Atencio as his wife. If this is my Dolores, both Jose Benito and Guadalupe are listed as 2 years younger than their baptismal record states, and Lucinda is not there at all. She could be living with other relatives. Maria Dolores Martin was dau of Juan Candelario Martin md 8 Mar 1800 to Maria Juliana Vallejos b abt 1784 in Conoa, RA, NM. Would enjoy hearing from you if you are searching the same lines.
