    2. Regarding Larry Reynolds' Great Uncle: Your great-uncle who died in NM of Black Lung may not have contracted it in NM. In the late 1800's and at the turn of the century, patients with lung ailments were advised to take the "Desert Cure" and go to live in very dry, hot climates in the hopes that the climate would improve the disease. Few were cured, but the climate may have prolonged the lives of some. If you can locate him in a census his birth state should be listed. Good Luck. Michaele Burris burrisbooks@juno.com
