Hi, I had noted that the index to the New Mexico death certificates at the LDS Family History Library read: Index A-S ca 1899-1930 Film 1991645 Index T-Z 1889-1930 Index A-Z 1931-1940 Film 1991646 Only the city of Albuquerque is shown with death records as early as 1889. Valencia County starts in 1899; McKinley in 1904; then a number of counties in 1907. Death records for Lincoln county are listed as starting 1910. I actually do not recall seeing a record prior to 1920 in the index. The pre 1920 records are on ten rolls of film- so there must be some there. Jim Scofield
