    3. Elizabeth~ While I don't have personal experience ordering pre-1900 death rec. from NM Vital Statistics, I'd thought I'd share the following info from my files: NM Vital Statistics has death records from 1920 to date, and "delayed" records from 1880. I'm not exactly sure what "delayed" records are, but I believe these may be records filed with the state sometime after the event, in order to establish date of demise for some other purpose. I suppose you've already tried checking church records? Also, there was a gentleman, Jim Scoefield, who was doing lookups for this list in the 1899-1928 Vital Records Death Index for state of NM back in July. He may not have the microfilm on loan any longer, but I do know the microfilm is #1991645 and it can be ordered for viewing at any local LDS Family History Center. Best wishes in your search.
